The wonderful thing about these buttons are when cast members or characters see them, they wish you a Happy Birthday. It didn’t matter where I was I would constantly hear, “Happy Birthday, Jason.” This especially happened during the parades where characters would come up and wish me a Happy Birthday during the parade. Let me tell you, when you have the Fairy Godmother, Flora, Fauna and Merryweather stand in front of you and tell you Happy Birthday, it really is a magical experience.

In addition to all the attention you get from the cast members and characters, you also receive special treats. While lunching at the Blue Bayou in New Orleans Square, all of us celebrating birthdays received a free dessert and birthday card. You know, it’s these little things that Disney does that really solidifies them as the “Happiest Place on Earth.”

What does it take to get into the club? I suppose you have to be a fan of something Disney related, whether it be the parks, movies, music, video games or any other such medium. At least it certainly helps. This blog will be a lot about the Parks, Disneyland and Walt Disney World and more about my experiences at the parks.

I must confess though, I am not Disney’s #1 fan. There are thousands of people out there that could out fan me in regards to Disney, my Mom being one of them. I am however, still knowledgeable about everything Disney and I hope to have something of value to share with you. But, this blog shouldn’t stop with me, it requires you’re participation as well. This is a club after all.

Now, my ability to create a fully interactive site so everyone can participate is non-existent. Instead I’ve created a group on Viddler called The Disney Fun Club Viddler Group that people interested in interacting with one another, share their vacation videos or Disney thoughts and tips can do so. Viddler is a community driven video sharing site with a lot of great features. So even if you are not interested in participating by creating content, you can still interact through comments on people videos. In addition to videos, I’ve also created a group on Flickr, called appropriately The Disney Fun Club.

The coolest thing of all on this blog are the comments. You can leave video comments if you have a webcam thanks to a Viddler WordPess plugin. If you already have a Viddler account you can either choose a video or create one. The experience is great and adds some personality to the blog that you may not find on any other Disney related blog…for now.
